Wow... It is hard to believe Joseph is already 2 months old. He is growing and learning new things every day. We catch ourselves just staring at him waiting for the slightest smile, sound, or movement we haven't yet seen; we are not wanting to miss a single thing! Words cannot express the love he has brought into our lives. Can you imagine how our Heavenly Father feels when he watches over us - His children? The excitement He must feel when our faith matures before His eyes. Please pray that as parents, we are able to model the life that Christ would have us live. Joseph grows and we are confident the Lord watches him with excitement, smiling and waiting for his next move....
On another note, as we explained in our last newsletter, the recent sale of our home in Bradenton has liberated us to be able to focus on fundraising so that we can get to the mission field as soon as possible. We are currently leasing our home and focusing our efforts on raising our financial support. Our lease expires in February and we are praying to be able to achieve our goal of 100% of our monthly support before that time. To make the numbers easier to understand, each $60 per month equals 1% of our monthly goal for HCJB Global. We currently have pledges and donations totaling 25% of our needed support. In order to help us achieve our goal, one of our donors has offered to contribute $100 for each new monthly supporter who partners with us. This means that now is a great time to join our team! The only requirement for us to receive the special gifts is that the pledge be greater than or equal to .5% ($30 per month) of our monthly need.
2 Cor. 8:12 says, "For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have." We ask that you would prayerfully consider joining our team. If you feel led to give, please notify us or HCJB Global of your intent. We look forward to sharing more of our story with you as God leads us in ministry.

We mourn the loss of Joleen’s mother, Janice R. Zonneveld. Jan was tragically killed in a head-on collision on Sunday, April 5, 2009. The viewing and funeral were held April 9 and 10 with hundreds in attendance. Friends and family traveled from all across the country to pay tribute to this loving wife, mother, and grandmother. We miss her terribly but celebrate her life and know that she is with the Lord.

Our journey continues as we take steps toward being Full time Missionaries....When have you ever not wanted to meet wonderful and inspired people? During our time here at HCJB Global for training our experience this past week has been both physically draining and encouraging at the same time. Colorado Springs itself is surrounded with beauty. Just knowing our creator is the reason for it all brings us a sense of peace. Michael and I have both felt God's strong hand guiding us during this process. We, like many of you have had concerns in our lives. They may have been for different reasons but are nevertheless extremely important. It is always important to continue God's calling in our lives no matter what happens. I (Joleen) have personally questioned many times... "What can I do?". Which is certainly something many of you can relate to. I have been praying for almost two years... "God what are you calling me to do? How can I help people to make a difference in their lives?" I have cried out to God, turned to the scripture for answers, and prayed faithfully. During this trip that prayer was answered. So when you are asking for answers to your prayers, become afraid or get discouraged, I have come to the conclusion that God's timing is always perfect. Keep updated and get to knoow Michael and I through reading our blog. We would love for you to be a part of our journey together and finding out more about God's calling for us. Help us continue to follow Gods footprints in the sand with your prayers.... |
